Careers at DuraSeal
DuraSeal is a Raleigh-headquartered surface protection company working across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. We seal decks, docks, fences, pergolas, patios, driveways and pool decks with a penetrating sealer and back every job with a 25-year transferable warranty. We are rated 4.9 stars across 450+ Google reviews.
We hire in two lanes: commission-driven in-home sales and field installers. If you are good at either one, we want to talk — whether or not a specific opening is posted today.
Why people come work here
- The product is genuinely different. You are not selling a two-year stain job against three other guys doing the same thing. A penetrating sealer with a 25-year transferable warranty is an easier conversation at the kitchen table and an easier job to be proud of in the field.
- Real demand. Founded in 2021, growing across four states, with a review record that generates inbound.
- Local work. We staff crews in the markets they live in. You are not living out of a hotel three states away.
- Warranty work is our own. We come back when we say we will, which means you are never the person explaining away a company that disappeared.
In-home sales consultant (commission-driven)
This is a commission-driven, in-home sales role. You run pre-set and self-generated appointments at homeowners’ properties, walk the deck, dock, fence, patio or driveway with them, measure, assess condition, and present a one-time sealing solution with a 25-year transferable warranty. You close in the home.
What the day looks like: drive to the appointment, walk the surface with the homeowner, listen to what they have already tried — usually a stain that failed — explain plainly why a penetrating sealer is a different category of product, build the quote, and ask for the business.
You will probably do well here if you:
- Have sold in the home before — roofing, windows, gutters, HVAC, remodeling, solar, pest, or similar one-call-close work
- Are comfortable with a commission-driven compensation structure and want your income tied to your results
- Can hold a consultative conversation instead of running a pressure script
- Have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and can work some evenings and Saturdays when homeowners are actually home
- Can explain a technical difference in plain English
We discuss the specific commission structure directly with candidates rather than posting a number we cannot honestly promise for every market.
Field installer / sealing technician
Installers are the reason the 25-year warranty is affordable to offer: the work has to be done right the first time. You prep and clean surfaces, mask and protect surrounding landscaping and siding, apply penetrating sealer to spec, and walk the finished job with the homeowner.
What the day looks like: load out in the morning, run one to three properties in your market, prep thoroughly, apply carefully, clean up so the yard looks better than you found it, and get a signature.
You will probably do well here if you:
- Have exterior trade experience — pressure washing, painting, staining, deck building, concrete, landscaping, roofing — or are willing to learn a trade properly
- Are detail-oriented about prep. Prep is most of the job.
- Are comfortable working outdoors in Southeast heat and humidity
- Can lift equipment, work on ladders, and handle a full physical day
- Have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to the shop or job site
- Show up on time and communicate with homeowners respectfully
We train on our specific products and process. You do not need prior sealing experience if you have the work ethic and the trade instincts.
Where we hire
We staff by market across our four states, including the Raleigh-Durham Triangle, the Triad, Charlotte, Wilmington and the NC coast, Asheville and western North Carolina, Greenville and the SC Upstate, Columbia, Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Georgia metros, and northern and central Florida including Jacksonville.
If you are in or near one of those areas, reach out even if you do not see your city called out. We open new markets as the right people show up in them.
How to apply
There is no long portal and no application fee. Do this instead:
- Email info@durasealit.com with the subject line “Careers.”
- Tell us three things: which role you want (in-home sales or field installer), which market you are in, and what you have done that is relevant. A resume is welcome but a straightforward paragraph is fine.
- Or use the contact form and note that you are applying, or call 888-660-0260 and ask about hiring.
We read everything that comes in. If there is a fit in your market now, someone local follows up to talk. If there is not one right now, we keep your information and reach back out when we are staffing there — we would rather keep a real bench than post openings that do not exist.
A note on what we will not post
You will not find invented job requisitions or made-up salary ranges on this page. Compensation for both roles depends on market and structure, and we talk about it honestly and specifically with candidates instead of advertising a number we cannot back up everywhere.
Questions before you apply? Call 888-660-0260. You can also read about the company and our 25-year warranty to understand what you would be representing.
